WINTER - Sara
& Suzi is first conceived and the first draft written in
Final Draft. |
2008

JAN - First
draft completed and reviewed but lacked a satisfying ending.
FEB - The ending scene was developed that would totally change
the style and feel of the movie.
APR - Casting for the movie began and ended with the addition of
two great and refreshing spirits of joy, Jennifer & Taylor.
MAY - The difficult task of searching for the right Hair & Make
Up talent begins.
JUN - A talented Production Assistant is added and most welcomed
as the Producer and Director suffers dental problems resulting
in further delays of complications from oral surgery. The
last script revision occurs and all await production day while
the search for Hair & Make Up talent continues through all of
June and into July.
JUL - Location scouting finds Oak Park Cemetery in New Castle,
PA for the principle shoot location and Castle Cemetery for the
establishing scenes while the search for Hair & Make Up grows
powerfully disturbing with on again and off again personnel.
Arrangements are made with recording artist Bobby Connell to
compose and perform "Suzi's Tears" as the movies theme song.
AUG - Finally, the crew is completed with Hair & Make Up
talents, Stephanie and Shelly adding a dimension of
encouragement to the crew along with a Grip addition Mike.
(17th) A full day of production begins at 8.00am and ends at
9.30pm with all scenes shot except a green screen, the initial
driving in establishing shots, and a very short truck shot.
Assisting were new comers Bobby & Stacey. (18th)
Aug 18 - The green screen scene is shot and we get to witness
the very last scene of the movie develop "come alive."
(22) Post production begins and continues on into September.
SEP - (1)The
last steps of post production get dusting onto the digital media
and the soundtrack gets applied, along with Sara & Suzi's own
theme song "Suzi's Tears," by Bobby Connell. (7)
Additional shots and editing begin. (14) Additional B Roll
footage collected and the final stages of editing are on course.
(17) First submission to Sundance Film Festival arranged and on
the roll. (26) FFV corrected sound correction and named
credit correction along with one scene correction; and,
fine for all remaining festival submissions. (26-28) First
viewing by cast and crew only.
OCT - The
movie is sent to several more film festivals and is made
available for viewing and purchase at the website.

FEB - The movie title is extended an Invite by IMDB.com to have
the title listed in the largest internet movie database in the
world. The movie is listed.
MAR -
The Telly Awards do not select the movie for an award. |
2010 |
JAN - The movie is reworked with additional color grading, some
sound filters, and smoothed out beginning and end.
MAR -
Resubmitted to the Telly and also submitted to the Peoples
Choice Awards.
JUN - Sara &
Suzi receive the highest award Silver Award at the 31st Telly
for Entertainment and a Bronze at the 2010 Peoples Choice
Awards.
